We Didn't Start a Brand.
We Fixed a Problem.
The story of Snag Leather · Why we exist · What drives us
The Origin
The Market Was
Full of Promises.
Empty on Quality.
In 2022, our founder spent months searching for a leather jacket worth buying. Not a cheap fashion piece that would crack after one winter. Not an overpriced European label charging six hundred dollars for a name. Something real — genuinely well-made, built from honest leather, priced like it was meant for actual people.
He couldn't find it. Every option was either a fast-fashion jacket hiding synthetic material under the word "leather," or a luxury brand charging for a logo rather than the craft. The quality gap was everywhere. The dishonesty was worse.
He had grown up around craftspeople and understood exactly what good leather felt like, what fair pricing looked like — and how enormous the gap was between what consumers were being sold and what was actually possible. So instead of buying a jacket, he built a company to make one.
That company is Snag Leather. And we've never once compromised on what started it.
"I wasn't trying to build a brand. I was trying to buy a jacket I actually believed in."

The Founder
Built by Someone Who
Understood the Craft
Our founder didn't come from fashion. He came from a background that understood materials — what lasts, what doesn't, and why shortcuts always reveal themselves eventually. When he launched Snag Leather in 2024, he did it with one rule that was non-negotiable from day one: never compromise on the leather itself.
Every jacket in our range uses full-grain leather — the highest grade available, taken from the outermost layer of the hide where the fibres are tightest and the durability is greatest. No bonded leather. No PU backing. No glossy finishes designed to disguise inferior material. Just leather that ages into something more beautiful than it started.
The artisans behind every jacket are master craftspeople with decades of experience. Patterns are cut by hand. Stitching is double-checked at every seam. Every jacket is inspected before it is packed. This is not a factory production line with romantic branding on top — it is a genuine craft operation, building a jacket as though the person buying it will wear it for twenty years.
Because they will. That's the entire point.

What We Stand For
The Principles We Never Compromise
Uncompromising Leather
We use only full-grain leather — the first layer, the strongest layer, the one that develops a patina over years. Every hide is selected by hand. Nothing synthetic enters our production.
Radical Transparency
We tell you exactly what hide grade you're getting, how it's made, and what the stitching spec is. No vague "premium quality" claims. Real information for people who care about what they buy.
Crafted by Real Hands
Our artisans treat leather-making as a profession, not a job. Every seam, every cut, every zip is handled by someone who has spent years becoming exceptionally good at exactly this.
Honest Pricing
We cut out the middlemen, the retail markups, and the inflated brand premiums. You pay for the leather and the craft — not the logo. That's why our jackets outperform pieces that cost three times more.
Built to Last Decades
A Snag jacket is designed to be worn for 15–20 years. We reinforce every stress point, use YKK zips, and select thread weight to match the hide. Buy it once. Wear it forever.
Support That's Actually Human
Questions get answered by real people who know our products. No scripted responses, no 72-hour reply windows. If something isn't right with your jacket, we make it right — no argument, no small print.
How It's Made
From Hide to Hands —
The Snag Process
Hide Selection
Every jacket begins with hand-selecting full-grain hides. We assess grain consistency, thickness, and fibre density before a single pattern is drawn.
Pattern & Cut
Patterns are traced and cut using traditional hand-cutting templates, refined over years in practice. Every panel is cut with precision and clear intent — no shortcuts.
Assembly & Stitch
Panels are assembled by skilled craftspeople. Double-stitched seams at every stress point. YKK hardware fitted. Lining attached with consistent thread tension throughout.
Final Inspection
Every jacket undergoes a 22-point inspection before packing. Stitching, zip function, symmetry, edge finishing — all checked by hand. Only those that pass every point leave our workshop.
The Collection
Now You Know the Story.
Wear It.
Every jacket we make carries this story in its stitching. Not as a marketing line — as a standard we hold ourselves to, every single time.
